Last Day of Term – Update.
With the last day of term being a part-day, and assemblies taking place, Sixth Form students have been given the day off rather than attending P1 and 2. The Christmas Social on Thursday 19th will be their final day of term. Any students not attending the Christmas social will be in lessons as usual.
Paintballing
Last week the Sixth Form Student Union organised a trip to Ashcombe Adventure Centre for a paintballing activity day. Over fifty Sixth Form students took part and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Writing Personal Statements with NSSW
This week, students have been supported by Next Steps South West (NSSW) in writing their personal statements, which form part of their UCAS applications to Universities of choice. Student Ambassadors from Plymouth and Exeter University joined NSSW and spent the morning in the Sixth Form Centre talking to students about their experiences of Higher Education….
Self Defence
This year has seen a new activity on offer for our Sixth Form students. A Torquay based club ran the taster session for our students. There they learnt how to break their falls and how to defend themselves from an attacker using different techniques.
Teignmouth Beach Clean
TCS6 students recently carried out a beach clean in Teignmouth removing several bags of rubbish and plastics from our local sea front.
