Dear Sixth Form Students, Parents and Carers,
Please find an attachment letter below from the Office for Qualifications (Ofqual) which outlines how exam grades will be calculated this summer.
I do appreciate that for many of you this news will not allay your anxiety or feeling of uncertainty. I want to assure you that I and my senior team will be working extremely closely with every head of subject and teacher to ensure that we enter grades and rank every student as fairly, objectively and carefully as is possible. We have only had this process communicated to us today but we are already working on plans to do this and we will have a good six weeks at least to ensure that we do our honest best by every student. You will note that schools are forbidden from discussing our entries to Ofqual with students or parents.
I do hope that you are all keeping well and will be able to enjoy something of the Easter break next week.
