Sixth Form students are celebrating an outstanding set of EPQ results with 100% of the cohort achieving A* – B grades. Three students achieved the top grade of A*.
Congratulations to Sophie D, Sophie R, Millie H, Sadie D and Sienna K. These students have worked above on beyond to complete the highly regarded EPQ qualification.
What is an EPQ?
Students in the Sixth Form can choose to take the EPQ alongside their main study programme. Students choose an inspirational topic of their choice which links to their progression aspirations or career aims. Research and independent study culminate in a dissertation or, in the case
production or a performance, alongside a portfolio of evidence documenting the project journey to include evidence of planning, target setting and reflections. The qualification is worth 50% of a full A Level (up to 28 UCAS points). The qualification helps students to develop transferable skills including the ability to work independently, something highly valued by employers and universities. Students will also build other skills such as planning, researching, self-evaluation and presentation of their findings.
